Spring is a Time of Transition
Spring is a time of new beginnings.
The trees and flowers begin to show signs of life again. Buds form where there was once only emptiness. Birds return, filling the quiet air with movement and sound after a long winter.
Everything around us is shifting, growing, emerging.
But what if you’re not?
What if, instead of feeling renewed, you feel stuck in the past?
What if moving forward feels less like a fresh start… and more like climbing a mountain or running a marathon with no finish line in sight?
If you are going through a life transition right now – whether it’s a career change, divorce, an empty nest, or a full reinvention – it can feel like your life is moving in slow motion while everyone around you seems to be moving full speed ahead.
And that disconnect can feel incredibly isolating.
The Hidden Truth About Transitions
We often associate spring with instant transformation…quick blooms, visible growth, effortless beauty.
But nature doesn’t actually work that way.
Before anything blooms, there is a long, quiet period of unseen work happening beneath the surface. Roots deepen. Energy rebuilds. Systems reset.
Growth begins long before it becomes visible.
The same is true for you.
If you feel stuck, it doesn’t mean you’re not moving forward. It may mean you are doing the deep, necessary work of healing, processing, and rebuilding.
This Is Temporary
During a time of transition, it’s important to remember this simple but powerful truth:
This is temporary.
Even if it doesn’t feel like it right now.
Even if the days feel long and uncertain.
You will find your way again.
You will find your confidence again.
You will find your mojo again.
Transitions are not where your story ends…they are where your next chapter begins.
Why It Feels So Heavy
Life transitions don’t just change your circumstances…they challenge your identity.
Who am I now?
What do I want?
Where do I go from here?
It’s natural to look around and compare yourself to others, especially in a world where social media constantly shows curated snapshots of seemingly perfect lives.
But what you see online is not the full story.
It’s a highlight reel. A carefully chosen version of reality.
Everyone has down times.
Everyone experiences family struggles at some point.
Everyone wrestles with self-doubt.
You are not alone in how you feel…you’re just seeing a filtered version of everyone else.
Protect Your Energy
If you’re in a vulnerable season, it’s important to be intentional about what you allow into your space.
Limit the urge to compare.
Limit your exposure to social media if it leaves you feeling “less than.”
Instead, engage in activities that genuinely uplift you – things that bring even a small sense of peace, joy, or clarity.
Because healing doesn’t happen in comparison. It happens in connection to yourself and to what feels true for you.
What You Can Do Right Now
When everything feels uncertain, come back to what you can control.
Know who your true friends are.
They are the ones who listen without judgment. The ones who support you, sit with you, and lift you up when you need it most.
Don’t look to others for validation.
The only person you owe an explanation to is yourself.
Reconnect with yourself.
Sometimes the most powerful reset is the simplest one…a walk in nature. Fresh air, sunshine, and movement can shift your mood more than you expect, helping your body release those feel-good hormones and clear your mind.
Don’t isolate yourself.
When you’re struggling, it can feel easier to pull away – but we are wired for connection.
Reach out.
Call a trusted friend.
Meet for coffee. Sit and talk. Let yourself be seen.
And while it may be tempting to numb the discomfort, remember…numbing isn’t healing.
Alcohol won’t move you forward. Connection will.
You Are Not Behind
If you take nothing else from this, hold onto this truth:
You are not behind.
You are in process.
Even when it feels slow.
Even when it feels messy.
Even when it feels like nothing is happening.
Especially then.
Because just like spring, your life is not about instant blooming, it’s about gradual becoming.
A New Kind of Beginning
Spring reminds us that beginnings don’t always look bright and energized.
Sometimes they look uncertain.
Sometimes they feel heavy.
Sometimes they require letting go before anything new can take root.
If you are in a season of transition right now, give yourself permission to move at your own pace.
Trust that something is shifting…even if you can’t see it yet.
Because just like the trees and flowers around you…
Your growth is already underway.
Ready for Support?
If you’re navigating a transition and feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what’s next…you don’t have to do it alone.
I offer small, supportive group coaching programs for women who are:
- Going through or recently navigating divorce
- Ready to rediscover themselves and create a more fulfilling, aligned life
These groups are designed to give you a safe space to be heard, guided support to help you move forward, and a community of women who truly understand what you’re going through.
Space is limited to keep the groups personal and impactful.
If this resonates with you, now is the time to take that first step forward.
